NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS
I'm really going to try and hold myself to these in 2018, since I've been unsuccessful in the past years. In order to do so, I'm setting somewhat smaller goals in order to lead up to my bigger ones. I've come up with four new years resolutions that are certainly attainable for a college student who should be focusing on school.
1. Overall Wellness
This is becoming more and more important to me and I love it. This goes for skincare, fitness, health, all that kind of stuff, I'm taking more into consideration. My mother always told me, "Your body is your temple". Though she was talking about piercings and tattoos, I think she would be fine with me using it with this context as well.
2. Simple Style
My style severely needs change and I think that it just needs to be more me: simple. I can sometimes have an "extra" personality but my style is much more laid back and neutral. I dress for myself already but I want to continue doing that while also picking up pieces that can be worn 5 different ways, etc.
I am constantly on my phone and it causes me to lose focus easily and not live in the moment. I think admitting it is the first step in fixing then problem. In the new year, I want to focus more on the tasks that I'm doing: school, my blog, work, my relationships, myself. This is the resolution that I'm really going to push myself on.
4. More Travel
In the last 365 days, I did a lot more traveling than I had done in a long time. I was on 19 different flights, many trains, one bus, and a lot of time was spent in the car on the way to my destination. Most of my traveling was done in the same week, and honestly, as tiring as it was at the time, I have never felt better. Traveling is absolutely good for the soul, it is a necessity.
