It’s internship szn you guys! The weather might be getting colder but don’t let it deter you from reaching your fashion goals for work everyday. I’m here with a guide to how to dress for success for that new internship! I’ve pulled some looks from the Blonde Damsel Archives, so enjoy a few throwback looks as you gather some inspiration. All looks are linked to be shopped.

  1. Color—or Lack Thereof

If you know me, you know I rarely wear color and if I do, it’s more than likely a neutral. An all black look is my absolute favorite thing to wear and it’s a perfect staple to take into the office. I was inspired by Danica from Nobody’s Fool {if you haven’t seen the preview, stop reading this now and watch it}, who rocks an all black look. Everyone looks good and feels good in all black, it’s a fact.

2. Outerwear

Make it part of the outfit. Just because you’re inside doesn’t mean you have to take it off! {My mom would hate me for saying that, but it’s cool}. I’m obsessed with jackets and coats and really anything of that sort. I love a good leather jacket or a longer trench-type jacket that adds onto the look. Here are a few of my outerwear looks of choice.

3. Accessorize!

I wear multiple pieces of gold jewelry everyday. I wear a pair of chunky gold hoops, a pair of thin gold hoops, 4 gold rings, 2 gold bracelets, and 2-3 gold necklaces at one time. It may seem like a lot, but I promise, there’s never enough. Cue Too Much Jewelry by Migos. Too much jewelry is in.

4. Confidence

The moral of this blog post is to make sure you’re feeling confident in how you’re dressing for work. If these tips sparked your fashion interest, great! If not, that’s fine too. I’m a big believer in the idea of looking good makes you feel good, and that’s really what I’m getting at. Make your outfit your own and incorporate your personality into your clothing.
