Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in style, travel, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

DENVER DIARIES

DENVER DIARIES

Last week, I headed out west to Denver, Colorado for the first time to visit my friend, Mackenzie. It was right in between my final exams for winter term, so of course, it was the perfect time to go.

I flew out there in the evening and for something that was happening the next day that we had been waiting for for months...Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi was kicking off his 2018 This House Is Not For Sale tour at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver. I love old music like that and being able to see the band live was truly one of my favorite moments, and it was an amazing concert. If I it all works out, I'll be seeing him again at the United Center in Chicago this April....Lol.

The next day, we headed up to the Cherry Creek Mall to do some looking around. We headed into the new Louis Vuitton, Neiman's, and Tiffany & Co., where Mackenzie bought a literal plate.  I won't lie, though, I should've done the same thing because why not?

Where we ate...

PokeWorld--I'm obsessed with poke, but only from certain places...and PokeWorld has made it into my favorites. It was by far the spiciest meal I've ever had {twice} and I probably will never have anything that I think is worse than that. Anyway, if you're in town, go all the way up 16th Street and you can't miss it.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot--My mouth is watering thinking about the crispy chicken sandwich with the Sriracha aioli sauce, wow. I wish I had taken a photo of it, but you'll just have to trust my judgement.

Rush Bowl--best smoothie bowls in Denver, deemed by me, the person who has visited the city one time. I got the Beach Bowl and the Lemon Twist smoothie. So good, and the walk there is through the cutest little park.

What we did...

One day we spent a couple hours at the Apple Store at Cherry Creek Mall because the hard drive on my laptop fried out while I was doing an exam! This post is coming to you on the way to Detroit from Mackenzie's laptop {my lifesaver, since I had an exam to take in Chicago this morning on a computer}.

We also went to two Colorado Avalanche hockey games. We saw the Avs play the Nashville Predators and the Detroit Red Wings {hello}. The Avs/Preds was by far the rowdiest hockey game I have ever been to, and it was absolutely perfect. Also, when we were down in the post-game guest area after the Avs/Red Wings game, we got to meet Tyson Barrie and Gabriel Landeskog of the Avalanche, which was super cool. However, I will not be sharing the photo because the Colorado water RUINED my hair!
